She is similar to the Slavic rusalka and the mythological water creatures of other Turkic peoples.<br />Kazan restaurateurs have gone for another culinary record. The chefs of the Tugan Avylym National Complex baked the longest Alma balesh (national apple pie).<br />The length of the finished dish was more than 45 meters. Its size was one meter in height and 45 centimeters in diameter. Several hundred people were able to taste it.<br />Baking the national dessert was not accidental. Every year, for the complex’s birthday, its chefs try to surprise Kazan residents with record‑sized national dishes. For example, last year they prepared a large peremyach.<br />The event was opened by Sergei Ivanov, Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism. He greeted the guests and thanked the chefs who baked the “Talkysh kaleve”.<br />“Today, a record will be set in this amazing place — the chefs of ‘Tugan Avylym’ have prepared the largest ‘Talkysh kaleve’. Setting such records has become a tradition. After all, other national dishes have also been prepared in Kazan before,” said Sergei Ivanov.<br />The “Talkysh kaleve”, baked by the team of chefs at the national complex, was placed in a tent where the festive concert took place. To break the record, several chefs worked on the dessert for two days. It is a real village, made in a modern style, with log houses and a small pond.<br />Here everyone can find a place and an activity to their liking, because on the territory of Tugan Avylym there are old carpenter’s workshops, a pancake house with a real wood‑fired stove, a mosque, a guest house with a banya, a charming petting zoo with domestic animals, and the Mishkin Dom Toy Museum, which is especially interesting for young travelers.<br />The village is made with such attention to detail that it leaves no one indifferent. Like a matryoshka: bright, beautiful, pleasant to hold in your hands, and unusually interesting to see what is inside. That’s how Tugan Avylym is: behind the beautiful gates and high fence, a deliberately bright but incredibly attractive beauty of wooden architecture with elements of national color opens up. This complex leaves behind an amazing aftertaste of a fairy tale: wooden buildings and structures of various sizes, an abundance of greenery and bright flowers, water, a miniature bridge, paths, carved fences – truly a real dollhouse!<br />Tugan Avylym, by the way, is also known for its culinary records. The dish required 200 kilograms of meat, and this record was officially recorded by a representative of the Gastronomic Book of Records of Russia.<br />In the central area of the celebration in the district capital, with the support of the Vice President of the Chefs Team Association and a representative of the Book of Records of Russia, Yulia Litvinenko, a significant achievement was reached: the preparation of 500 liters of rich meat broth in a cauldron over an open fire.
